Ah the first 2 lines are headlines from a newspaper clipping, following by a radio broadcast.
"Brown Mansion Destroyed"
"Brown Estate Sold To Developers"
October is inventory time.
So right now, Statler Toyota is making
the best deals of the year...

[Lines 2 and 3 are faded out in the movie and difficult to hear and they're not in the English subtitles, but I think it's:

I don't think that your thread is not so interesting, but the problem is that I don't understand where these texts come from. I must say that just presenting some sentences randomly doesn't attract many people. Please upload your posts systematically.

It's not random, it's every line in order from the movie.
You probably need to be familiar with the movie really. The idea of the group is to have one topic for each movie and cover the whole movie but 5 lines at a time for easy digestion.

欲购从速(if you want to buy, come as soon as possible) This is a set phrase for sale.
优惠活动(sale)仅到月底为止 (only until the end of this month) You often see the similar phrase such as 今天到此为止 (That's all for today).

These films are some of my all time favourites, but I am not sure I get the point. Is there somewhere I could try to listen to the Chinese soundtrack before we get into the line by line translation.

I don't think it's actually been dubbed in Chinese, even the Chinese dvd only has English and Japanese audio.
