The goal of this group is to gain or deepen insights into the Chinese writing system. The target group are "Hanzi newbies" and more advanced students alike.
The group is open for all kinds of character related discussions - be it on etymology, variants, similarities, or tricks for memorizing. It is also conveived to be a container for links to interesting writing related tools and sites.
It was originally designed as a resurrection of my neglected Character groupings - which I will continue to add here over time.
I'm not sure how I posted this in the Character Points group! But thanks for pointing that out. I will repost this link. By chance, the first group ties in with the 80's clothing mentioned in BST this week.
Thanks bodawei.
I've got a 人 (ren) on the record button to indicate that people should hit the button to record someone's name.
I do need help translating the Warning - OK text.
If you want to try out the app and see how it works you can search for Tea...
Thanks for all this info. I am a reall beginner at writing and recognizing characters even though I've studied Chinese part-time for 2 years. This is great stuff and I will practice more regularly now.
