Interesting lesson on one child policy. Great information when I will travel.

It was a pleasure to meet you and the rest of the team at your office.

A suggestion for next "Dear Amber", how about the Chinese purchasing power. During my stay, I see products like laptop,cell phones, Haagen-Dazs, western brand clothing which are the same price as one would get in Europe. On the other hand, brand like McDonalds,KFC and Coca-cola are on the parity of Chinese wages. What do really local people consume ? Who live on the western lifestyle ?

I thought 了 le marked only the past.

I think the gap between intermediate and upper intermediate is becoming larger. I find some elementary more difficult than this lesson.

Great lesson with 辣的方便面

chiongzibide how did you write 方便词汇 -fang1bian ci2hui4 with MouseEvent on it. When you pass the mouse on the characters, a window appears.

Any difference with 方便面 and 跑面 or just synomyn for instant noodles ?

You forgot to translate 本加 like shuaibao I don't understantd it. By the way, what does 加 means ?

乘客 = passenger, 乘坐 also mean passenger or seat ?

About the Sichuan earthquake. "A terrible tragedy on Buddha's birthday and exactly 88 days before the Olympics (2008 年 8月 8日). Caused by the shift of Tibetan plateau to the Sichuan bassin." Coincidence ? Just my 2 cents opinion

I agree with Bryan, this lesson is much easier than the one on geology (upper intermediate). Darylk, where did you find the conditional "if then " statement. Was it in the extra lesson (premium) ?

Wahou.This lesson wasn't released after the earthquake. Sad news for all these people. Coincidence like 9 11 when major stakeholders sold their share the day before. But natural disasters are unrelated to humans. For me I have to catch up all the lessons I missed.

Evelyne, we have a saying in French "on paie séparément " ou " on divise la note ". This may seem basic but the negative form takes 2 words. When do you use 不 or 别 ? Does it depend on the verb ? 别那么客气不要客气 Raymond

Thanks Amber. For user21377 & depredadora , let me tell you about my experience. I tried to improve by taking books, CD on HSK. But Chinese Pod remain the best way to me. Because you have the hearing and writing. Great to learn 成语. It's not dry like a class (well it depends on the teachers, I'm sure if it's Jenny or Ken, it will be much better)
