Love this lesson! Would you ever consider doing a "cooking show" that teaches us how to make a somewhat easy Chinese recipe along with the vocab for the ingredients and some basic cooking terms?

Great lesson! I'm so happy we're getting more Pre-Intermediate content. Wish there were a couple exercises though or even a simple prompt to practice writing something in the comments. Otherwise love it :)

In school I was taught 星期一  and 周一, but then I heard my Taiwanese in-laws always say 礼拜一。I had no idea what that meant! And they were confused because they thought I had studied Chinese but I didn't understand something so "simple" lol. When you get further into Chinese, you'll realize there are a LOT of regional differences and none are wrong or not understood by others, it's just phrasing preference.

Wow, I didn't know I was interested in more professional Chinese until now! I'm learning Chinese for family, friends, and fun but I enjoyed branching out from daily-life topic lessons into a bit more professional conversation. Could it be added to the Business 1 Playlist to keep track of for later?

Hi there, I appreciate this topic and think the vocab and dialogue is very useful, but I have to agree with everyone else. The voice actors make it sound like a classic recording for classroom-taught Chinese, which I'm trying to move away from by intermediate level. Normal pronunciations (not so fakely over-enunciated) and speed would be more helpful for intermediate learners since we're all working hard to move away from manufactured dialogues to real conversation.

Awesome to meet these new hosts though. Hi, and thanks for coming along our learning journey!

I love this guided series! I'm getting into intermediate level for listening comprehension, but am still going through this series to review characters, my weakest area. I review all the practice lessons and write out the dialogues and expansion sentences to drill characters. It's also a nice review of foundational sentence structures and tones. Thanks for putting this together! I'd love to see another guided series in the future.

Thanks for making this great lesson!

Consideration: It would be nice if the expansion sentence recordings were spoken at natural speed. I like to practice reading along with and repeating the sentences, but repeating after these slow recordings makes me a bit worried I'm not reenforcing natural sentence flow.

Did you say, in an example for 旁边 "Right now my mom is beside me"?

Are you two mother and daughter?! I didn't catch that before, how sweet!! Ah, this makes my heart warm while I listen to the lessons :D Thank you both for taking us on this learning journey!
