Posted on: Choosing a New Pair of Glasses
February 5, 2010 at 6:47 PMWhen I lived in Gaoxiong I met a lot of older people who couldn't read normal, book-sized characters at all, even with glasses. Or they could only read their own handwriting. Lots of older people relied on younger people reading to them. I felt like this happened way more in Taiwan than in America, but maybe it's just 'cause I never asked old people to read stuff in America. I tend to believe characters are harder on your eyes. I think they just require more scrutiny.
