I never get any points correct when writing out the dictation because I can't seem to figure out what format the exercise is looking for.  This lesson is particularly easy.  What I wrote is exactly how I understand it, and I checked.  It's correct, but not right for the exercise.  What am I doing wrong?

Two consistent problems that I have:

Even with reading glasses, I often need a magnifying glass to see strokes in characters.  Beginners need larger characters before they can just recognize the whole quickly.  The matching exercises, with one character out of context, sometimes are unreadable for me.

I usually get all the exercises right, but never any of the dictation.  I understand what I hear, but may misspell the pin yin, get the tone wrong or get the spacing wrong.  Any one of these makes the whole thing wrong.  Is there any way to get feedback on what was wrong?  I've often checked back to vocabulary and tried again, but am still wrong.

Otherwise, I'm enjoying the topics and review of what I once studied.  Tai hao le!
