I believe that this face saving or showing off is part of every culture not only Chinese culture.  One time or another, each of us is guilty of this.  It is just a matter of degree how much we indulge ourselves in this negative human behavior.

I do not always read the comments and was surprised how everybody missed Amber and how negative the comments are towards the new team and probably very hurtful to Jenny as she was the new member.  

Amber does have a unique talent to entertain and has a very good sense of humor. 

But the Qingwen content is not so bad.  I felt that is is more of the missing entertaining value that most missed about the show.

We should give this team a chance and understand that Jenny is not Amber. 

It is like when someone we love die, we tend to measure the next one with the lost one and it is not fair.  Be kind and sensitive.  Put your shoes in Jenny and imagine how you would feel if somebody say these things about you.
