Am I the only one who does the exercises? I've just noticed that the translations of the sentences in the oral exercise do not correspond to the English sentences given. There must have been a misunderstanding between the two people about which sentences they were going to use. Perhaps this could be put right.

Keeping warm in winter and cool in summer (insulation, central heating, radiator, electric stove, air conditioner, window blinds, long underwear…)
The educational system (exam pressure, swotting, cheating, school ratings, private lessons, extra lessons, vocational training, passing/failing exams…)
Modern and traditional housing
Western China - Eastern China (This is a vast subject!)
The status of farmers
Road safety (speed limits, overtake, pedestrian crossing, traffic lights, accident statistics…)
Energy (coal, nuclear power, natural gas, ecology…
I hope you will be able to use one or two of the above suggestions. At the moment, I feel you are rather Shanghai-centred.

Hello all!
A good topic. But in the vocabulary translation 护理师 should be rendered as "carer" "nurse" not "caretaker". (A caretaker is a person hired to take charge of a building.)
And 清福 should be translated as "easy and carefree (life)", not "family blessings".
