Very happy 老婆's and 老公‘s in Shanghai. In fact 太太 sounds very haughty :-)

When do you use 老师? I have noticed that this form of address is used to non-teaching people.

There is another interesting way of modifying colors. Here is what I collected for black. Would you like to fill in the gaps for other colors?

黑乎乎,黑糊糊,黑忽忽 - unclear,confused

黑油油,黑黝黝,黑幽幽 - slick (e.g. black hair)

黑洞洞 - black (referring to space, like an opening to a cave)

黑溜溜 - black (like eyes)

黑压压 - black (like a crowd of people)

黑黢黢,黑漆漆 - pitch black (like in a room or at night)

This kind of pattern is used not only with colors but also with some other adjectives(e.g. 湿漉漉,湿渌渌,湿答答)。 Perhaps another lesson?

This is a bit off topic, but has anyone tried the Grammar Guide? I tried multiple topics in there and all I get is empty pages (it says"No records")
