There is another interesting way of modifying colors. Here is what I collected for black. Would you like to fill in the gaps for other colors?

黑乎乎，黑糊糊，黑忽忽 - unclear,confused

黑油油，黑黝黝，黑幽幽 - slick (e.g. black hair)

黑洞洞 - black (referring to space,like an opening to a cave)

黑溜溜 - black (like eyes)

黑压压 - black (like a crowd of people)

黑黢黢，黑漆漆 - pitch black (like in a room or at night)

This kind of pattern is used not only with colors but also with some other adjectives(e.g. 湿漉漉，湿渌渌，湿答答）。 Perhaps another lesson?
