Hi, I'm a Japanese living in Taiwan.
Taiwanese Mandarin's "超" (super) is influanced by Japanese "超" pronaunce as "cho" in 1st or 4th tone. This is a modern expression used since around 20 years ago in Japan by teenager at that time. 30's people or younger prefer to use 1st tone, 40's people or older use 4th tone and most over 60's people don't use it, because "cho" is originally/formally pronounced in 4th tone but the young Japanese prefer to pronouce any words in flat accent.
