Hi, this lesson also has traditional characters mixed in with simplified in several places. Could you please correct this? Thanks!

Traditional characters are interesting, but they don't really belong in a HSK test prep video. The HSK test materials only use simplified characters. Also, if I'm not mistaken, this video mixes together simplified and traditional, even in the same sentence! At 3:17, 這裡 is in traditional, while 什么 is simplified. In the next moment, at 3:26, the whole sentence is traditional 現在是什麼時間 (including 么/麼, which was just simplified in the previous sentence). At 4:17, again there is a mix of traditional with simplified (traditional 醫 with the rest being simplified), at 5:37 國 is used instead of 国, at 5:56 there is 這兒買,and at 6:17 an 兒. I believe the subtitles are all simplified. This is very confusing for Newbies like me!

If the following sentence were spoken, how would you know it's a statement rather than a question, since 几 can ask for a number and also mean "a few", as in this case? 叔叔有几个外国朋友。 In other words, could you also say 叔叔有几个外国朋友? If so, would it sound any different? Thank you!

In the video, when she is talking to the trash can, when he says the price the first time, the subtitles say "伍佰块". Should this be "五百块" or is this another way to write this? Thank you!

For the dialog ordering exercise, the phrase 不可以! comes up three times, but it is impossible to know which is the correct one, since they are the same. So, it is marked wrong if the wrong 不可以! is used. Also, for the completion exercise, I was given 他们 __去美国。 with both 可以 and 不可以 as possible answers. Unfortunately, I don't know who we are talking about, so I don't know if the can go to the USA!

The phrase: 袜子不可以吃。 is translated as "socks are inedible". Could this also mean "socks can't eat" as in they aren't able to? (Presumably because they have no mouth and they are not living!)

Agreed! I would love to see both, since I'm learning simplified, mostly. It's nice to have the traditional alongside, though.
