August 19, 2007 at 1:55 AMWell, being a Newbie, the reply to TOM was very ineresting and caught my eye! Not wanting to miss any Introduction stuff that might be around; I clicked the link for newbie intro etc and got "Page not found', most discouraging? By the way, why do I only get little rectangles where (I'm sure?) characters should be? It only happens in the Comments, the lessons and as far as I can tell so far , everything else displays and prints the characters ?

August 16, 2007 at 10:17 PMWell, I finally signed on! I'm 72 and yes a great project to keep the mind agile. i'm certainly in agreement with everybody who is of the opinion that CP is the greatest! I'll go as far as I can go toward a good speaking knowledge of Mandarin, and maybe reading, and hope to have a return visit to PRC.

March 6, 2008 at 4:40 PMA very useful NEWBIE lesson, but how many Newbies "Have 4,000 characters? Obviously not Newbies if they have 4,000 characters? Maybe it should be an Intermediare lesson? Still good stuff though, even with my 5 characters so far. Thank you guys!
