If this helps anyone, here are my notes from this lesson (caveat emptor...): 1．[大智若愚] (这就是古人说的大智若愚吧。) da4zhi4ruo4yu2 = "big+wisdom/knowledge+seems like/as if+stupid" (（Basically, pretending to be dumb when you're actually smart）) 2．[小儿科]（这么小儿科的问题。）xiao3er2ke1= {literally} pediatrics. 3．[小巫见大巫] (跟他们比，法国人可是小巫见大巫。) xiao3wu1jian4da4wu1 {巫婆的巫} "small witch sees big witch" i.e. ~((the first doesn't compare to the second in magnitude)) 4．[绣花枕头，一包草] (她挺漂亮的，但是全市绣花枕头，一包草。) xiu4hua1zhen3tou5yi1bao1cao3, "embroider pillow a bale straw" ((~denoting pretty on the outside, nothing on the inside)) 5．[浏览率] (这种视频浏览率都很高的。) liu2lan3 = to skim over, to browse 6．[出丑] (好多公众人物也在大庭广众下出丑呢。) {丑=醜} chu1chou3=make a fool of oneself 7．[咱们]（咱们中国也有好几个主特人经常说蠢话呢。）zan2men5 = we (including the speaker and the person spoken to) 8．[蠢话] chun3 = stupid/foolish
