One can for instance see a clear chronological map of the introduction of ultrasound machines in China (first in big cities, then downwards. The gender imbalance at birth is closely correlated to this introduction.
As the policy was introduced around 1980, this 15% imbalance is now affecting everyone under 25 years. This means that in 3-4 year we will start seeing a shortage of women on the matrimonial market. This is when the problem will start to be felt.
