Not nearly ready for this level myself, but may be useful to give another listen before next teacher-parent conference. Thanks.

It means you're the first to post a comment on a blog or news story. You get the comfy "shafa" seat. ("Sofa"). I guess it's similar to calling "shotgun" in the US.

Save my eyes over the trees. I'll be printing, thank you. (If it make you feel better, I print two pages per A4.)

Last week I instituted a new rule in my class.  Students cannot put more than ten words on each slide.  Amazing difference in the presenations.  Great lesson and timely for me.

This lesson deserves a higher rating.  I really support this idea and hope it continues.  (I guess one very bitter customer has sunk its rating so far).

As usual, great job anticipating feasible situations.   I get this question a lot.  Don't mind plugging Chinesepod to the masses.

Just to echo your conversation a bit, I am reminded of an article I read last year about how technology (texts, chat sites, etc.) has led to a high rate of "tibiwangzi"  (提笔忘字) incidents amongst young people. Here is a link to that article:  http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/wired-youth-forget-how-to-write-in-china-and-japan-2065228.html

Beyond my level, but surely interesting.  Any plans to do a lesson on 象棋 (or as I like to call it "frustrating chess")?
