Why is the pinyin word xiang3 the same for the word ring and missing?

When I click the dialogue tab the first item will not load, the little wheel just goes around and around. All others load OK. This has happened on several lessons. How do I fix?? Also, could you display the dialogue in pinyin and characters so its easier to follow.

Why did not switch the tone marks (used in the older lessons) to the tone # (1,2,3,4,5) in the newer lessons. I for one find the new # harder to follow and I like the tone marks better. Please consider going back to the old way.
