March 26, 2008 at 6:47 AMChinesepod is awesome... but I have to say after hearing this lesson along with the stargazing and DVD "ploy" ones that these lessons with clueless guys trying to talk to/seduce clueless women aren't helping anyone from a social standpoint. These lessons make me think of a group of geeky average guys snickering at a brave but unsuccessful friend as he unsucessfully tries to talk to a girl whose undesirable frends snicker at as well. None of them can get what they want. Lol, the girls who think they know the pick-up "tricks" would be in for a rude awakening if they met a guy who truly knows how to attract them. How about a lesson about one of the many Chinese girls who is seduced and later hurt by a handsome but irresponsible Western Guy? Or one about a guy Western so desperate with women he is happy to be whipped in an unhealthy relationship with a controlling girl? Or one about an older, lonely gentleman who frequents Julu Road and various massage parlors and saunas and the poor, exploited waidi girls who talk about taking advantage of him? Don't mean to sound like a jerk--Chinesepod and Shanghai are great, but man, knowing there is a particularly high quantity of drama and pain in a city like Shanghai where the income gap is huge, it's kind of painful for me to watch dorky "pick-up" lessons and see people giggle at them. If sex weren't so taboo, and if people could spread real, useful knowledge about social skills, sex, and relatonships, then we could avoid a lot of tears, STDs, and abortions. Okay, I go that off my chest. I really like Chinesepod...just going to skip the next "ploy" lesson. ; )

April 1, 2008 at 5:50 AM我觉得在讨价还价上存在着一些误解。其实，讨价还价不需要什么技巧，也不用于卖者交换那么多屁话。绝大多数的时候，买者有非常大的优势。像在对话中说的，总之，如果卖者不会赚钱，那就不会卖。说价钱，他们不卖就走。只要你说的价钱和卖者的最低价的差异不太大，他就会继续减价。你总是可以说考虑一下，走，然后看他反应。不卖没关系，可以过几分钟就回来说高一点的价钱。归根结底，卖者宁可赚钱也不要不赚，买者反过来可以随便走和回来，随便调整价钱。
