Is there any difference between 突然 and 忽然 or do they mean exactly the same thing?

I just want to add that I'm also really happy that you guys have introduced pre-intermediate. It was always something that I found frustrating about ChinesePod as someone who progressed beyond Beginner lessons but found the intermediate way too advanced. Thumbs up guys!!

I find this whole issue really amusing. I used to get  annoyed when I first got here - now it doesn't bother me so much but I do speak up if someone tries to cut in. It can create chaos and I've seen people behind counters just shut down when a crowd gets out of control. I've grown to laugh at the whole theatrical faux-innocent "who me?" act that some people do as if they were completely unaware that they had stepped in front of you. And the worst place for it is KFC and McDonalds!!!

Does anyone know the pinyin for capuccino, latte, espresso etc?

Ah it's comforting to see some other Australian caffeine fiends - we're really spoiled in Oz for good coffee and it's the one thing I miss most. Now I'm in Beijing, it's really hard to justify the expense of Starbucks when it's terrible anyway. I wish their was some better alternative to Nescafe 2+1 - I never thought I'd drink it, but it's my lifeline here.

In my experience, if you don't use the rrrrr with the taxi drivers in Beijing, they'll repeat it back to you with the rrrrr and laugh at your girly pronunciation (in a good natured way) - but maybe that's just a guy thing. When I do use it, they love it. I live right near 请华大学东北门 so now get to merrrrrrr all the time. But Amber is right - generally speaking, when you do it too much people think you're putting it on - kind of like if you moved to New York and started talking like Woody Allen.

Hi Amber - this lesson was an answer to the question I sent in!!! Thanks for the advice. I'm at Tsinghua now and loving it.

Frances - in China mostly the ground floor is '1' and occasionally just to confuse you its '0' - like in my building.
