I joined the guided plan through promotion and I'm going to stay with it. It is extremely useful and it is very motivating to have a short conversation in Chinese every week, when you are living far away. It would be great if it was possible to upgrade in stages towards the executive level. Two conversations a week would be ideal in my study and working situation

I like to think of myself as above these sort of things, but I am SO EXCITED!!! I was just going to request a mani/pedi lesson.

I hope that when my guided subscription expires (in Sept.), I can catch up with some of these new promotions. ChinesePod is changing and improving so fast! Bravo!

Functions I miss so far:

  •    dictionary/glossary
  • ability to locate a lesson by date and/or number
  • ability to locate all lessons using certain subject or vocabulary

These may be there and I need help finding them...or need to use a PC instead of a Mac computer? Advice gratefully accepted.

tage--I agree with you completely. I too would like a halfway sort of executive plan, or to have the executive plan customizable. Maybe executive plan memers could pay a fixed price and then choose facets of the plan that make the most sense for them. Each facet would have a value and so a person could choose the number of live lessons per week and that amount would be deducted from the retainer or deposit that each member pays at the beginning of each term or period.

For example, if one month of executive plan with 5 live lessons each week costs $200, then each lesson costs $10. So, if I want three lessons a week, I would pay $120 a month. (I don't vouch for my math, but I'm hoping this gets the idea across.)

Sfrrr,

Was thinking about the same thing! I want to take an executive subscription, but think with my sometimes busy schedule 10 mins a day might still be difficult.

Would be nice if one can arrange like 2* 20 and 1*10 mins and organize the lessons yourself and pay accordingly.

@tarsi thank you for your response, so if I understand your answer correctly: one can schedule the lessons as one pleases? If one subscribes to 12 months of Executive (70 mins a week) and you do 3 lessons 2*20 + 1*10 (50 mins) a week, will the program last  appr. 15.5 months then? Or how does the customisation actually work?

@chanelle77

Glad to hear you are interested in our Executive program! You can fit your 12 months of Executive minutes (50 minutes +)in anyway you like. eg. 10-15 minutes per day/2-3 times a week etc. Whatever is convenient for you.

If you are going away on a business trip we can extend your subscription to make up for the missed lessons etc.

You can try a free demo at Executive program too! :)
