I noticed both in the dialogue and by listening to Jenny during the lesson that in the sentence “有一位小姐要见您”，it sounds a whole lot like when the characters jiàn and nín come back to back, the "n" in jiàn or the first "n" in nín gets dropped. Bascially, when those two characters are read after one another, it sounds something like "jie nin"。 I'm wondering if this is a rule, or just a coincidence that they both read it this way, or if it could be something else. I'm really curious about this~~

]]> <![CDATA[By: JasonSch]]> The double-n being pronounced as one n is just a result of speaking at a normal rate (somewhat quickly) and 'gliding over' the pronunciation, rather than enunciating super clearly. So, there isn't a rule for it specifically, it just happens naturally.

There are lots of measure words you can use for people. For example.

拨 -bō​ - 两拨人
