Here is a Mandarin Chinese lesson to take you back to the simpler days of ugly boys, teenage angst and unrequited crushes. Yes, come with us as we sneak a peek at young Yang Jie's Diary (you know you want to). If the content doesn't sound juicy yet, listen as things unfold... if a Canadian businessman can get knocked off by ninjas, anything could be around the corner for naive Yang Jie.

changye,

I once kept a diary when I was about 10. Reading it later, it was really funny. It was full of things like, "I played Zelda today" and "it rained today" and "we had pizza tonight" and whole stretches where I forgot to write, so I wrote in "nothing happened" for each day. Ha ha... what a waste of time!

Come on John, even (some) adults write diaries, although maybe calling them journals...think what we would be missing if nobody kept a journal or diary, e.g. John Hay's diary of day to day experiences with Lincoln; Chou Enlai's diaries about the 40s, etc...even for kids they can be fun and worthwhile....perhaps not as enriching as "Zelda" but not all of us have your rich cultural experiences....哈哈大笑。。

CPod Team,

I have always wondered what women see in us guys. Thank God they see something promising and take us on as projects.

I am sorry in my new job I can not listen during the day, so perhaps you covered this during the explanation.

The sentence from the dialogue :
不過李燕好像很喜歡他，每天都和他一起吃飯、看書。

The "和" refers to - she and he together- Yes?

So what they do together from a grammar point of view you can string things on forever ? for example
.......... 吃飯、看書,閑話 , 講笑話 .....
eat, study, gossip, tell jokes......without an "和 - and" before the last one?

Also I can't make reverse commas so I know I shold do that as well.

Mike still in Tokyo
