Custom RSS lesson feed
With a ChinesePod subscription, you can access all lessons on ChinesePod.com, anytime. However, the Custom RSS Feed enables you to customize the types and levels of lessons you automatically subscribe to.
You can select the lessons and file format using a personal RSS feed. Upon publication, these will be automatically fed to the your online 'Home' page, and will also be available through feed readers (iTunes etc.).
The custom feed saves you time and effort in accessing your lessons.
Audio review features
Two Premium audio files that make it easy to review the full lessons for more effective learning:
1) Audio Review Listen to key lesson vocabulary and phrases to help you review. A gap in the audio after each English word/phrase gives listeners time to recall the Chinese themselves, before the translation is given. The audio review promotes active listening, adding a dimension to the learning that is not generally available through the podcast lessons.
2) Dialogue-only file Listen to the dialogue-only MP3 file to review (or preview) the full lesson. You can focus on the Chinese dialogue for a quick way to reinforce the learning.
Online review features
ChinesePod review tools enable Premium users to practice and reinforce new language, and test comprehension:
1) Dialogue Review
Read a breakdown of the lesson dialogue, sentence by sentence, in Simplified or Traditional Chinese characters (pinyin, translation and audio versions of each sentence are available too).
2) Expansion
Here, key lesson vocabulary and phrases are placed in new contexts (with pinyin and English translation) to helpy reinforce your learning.
3) Exercises
A selection of comprehension and vocabulary recall exercises in a “test paper” format. Automatic feedback functionality. We recommend these features to be used in conjunction with the audio lessons for visual reinforcement of the new language.
Vocabulary study tools
