These cities have the most cpoddies within them? If so, may I ask how many poddies does Denver, Colorado, USA have?

What am I missing here? Why would there be so many subscribers from within China?

Because there are many foreigners living and working or studying within China that have a great interest in becoming functional in the society they live in. Most of the foreigners I know here (Shenzhen) know about and listen to CP casually - and a handful are subscribers. Hank, any chance we could get some approximate numbers on these cities?

Santa Clara in the house!!! I've spread the word to everyone I know, but I still don't get how we're #3 in the USA. Our population is under 120,000.

A few hundred in Denver? I am surprised. They sure are not coming to our Chinese Meetup group.

Where are all you Hong Kong people? Let's meet somewhere to practice! Soho or Lan Kwai Fung? We could do C-pod happy hour or a Starbucks coffee hour.

lunetta, I'm not from Copenhagen, but not too distant either. Just across the Öresund strait (or Øresund, if you prefer =) in Malmö. With the university of Lund offering Chinese and (I assume) the university of Copenhagen, I would suspect that there could be quite a few listeners in the region.

Chrka, yes, the University of Copenhagen offers Chinese and a couple of high schools do as well. Danish television has had a lot of focus on China as well the last year or so. I guess there must be more around than just the two of us but of course not everyone wants to participate actively.

chief plumber, are these all users contributing to these conversations or only paying subscribers? also, are there CPUGs (user groups) in those places, is CPod supporting them or trying to encourage setting them up? I often go to London and will soon be visiting to Shanghai, I'd be interested to know of regular meetings there. Not surprisingly, where I live is not listed, but it turns out of my colleagues in Basel, Switzerland is also a CPoddie, he found out about me through tis forum and we met this week - hi Nitrox ! (we work for the same company, we don't actually work together, those close colleagues do know who to go to when sth comes out of the printer with all these squiggles :-) they don't ask whether it's Japanese or Chinese anymore
