Hi guys

I have recently started a new job in China that requires me to speak and listen to a lot of formal work Chinese. I have been studying Chinese on and off for ten years now and my confidence with reading Chinese is fine and speaking is not a problem if it is an area i feel comfortable in, but in this new job i seem to be having a crisis of confidence and dont want to speak any Chinese at all for fear of not knowing the right word or, more importantly, not understanding the response!

any tips to get over this block and improve my listening comprehension would be much appreciated! :)

There are lots of business lessons on cpod, but they're the generally applicable "we sell widgets" type of business lessons. Put Lao Wang into the cpod search engine, and you'll get plenty of lesson dialogues that might be helpful.
