In the past year or so the pinyin has been removed from the PDF files.  I found it easier to learn from the iPod lessons when the english, pinyin and mandarin characters were all included in the PDF file / iPod file.

Did I miss something to have the pinyin included?  Or if not, then why was the pinyin removed?  Really enjoy the chinesepod application, thanks.

Really? I've just checked my most recent downloads (5 days ago), and the PDFs all include Pinyin.

Actually, you are correct, the PDFs do have the Pinyin.  However, with the MP3 download for iPod, the visible files in iPod nano 5g, Classic and iPod Touch no longer include the pinyin.  Only mandarin characters and English.

How would you look at the text on your IPod without using up power very quickly.

Hi Bolster

I'm not sure what you are looking at but I just checked on my iPod, expansion sentences for a recent lesson and pinyin is included, as follows:

Sentence in Chinese

English translation

Breakdown including pinyin.

Seems an excellent format for elementary learners.

It is the same format for the dialogue itself; pinyin is included.
