In the opinion of the wonderful Chinesepod community, which Intermediate lesson set is easier: Lao Wang, or the Zhang Liang/Lili storyline?

I love a story, but the last time I had a go at the Zhang Liang/Lili story, it was significantly harder than I could cope with...

Oh, and just in case, I'm not talking about the lesson content itself, I mean in terms of the lesson exposition - with the one I listened to, it was a bit closer to an upper-intermediate discussion, 90% chinese, so a bit impenetrable to those that are just starting Intermediate.

From memory, I'd say Lao Wang lessons are easier to follow (though the Zhang Liang/Lili story does get more similar to the current intermediate formats as the series progresses) as there's more English input from John. You could certainly listen to these lessons repeatedly in the car and pick up bits and pieces gradually without having to put in too much serious study. This is what I did when I first studied these lessons - listened lots of times when out and about and then went through the dialogues line by line when I had the chance. Good luck.

Aha, yes, good plan. I'll make an effort tonight and add a ton of intermediates to my dialogues playlist. Bite the bullet! :)
