The phrase "did not work" in english is always translated as "没用" in chinese?
*我吃了感冒药，不过没用. (I took medicine but it did not work.)
Can I say: "微波炉没用了." -- The microwave oven is not working.
or,
"这个方法， 没用." -- This method does not work.

但是 The microwave oven is not working.应该是“微波炉坏了。”
"微波炉没用了." 的意思可能是你现在有了新的工具，不需要微波炉了。
