Exporting Characters

Hi all,

I am new, so apologies if this is a dumb question. When I try to export my saved characters as a CSV file (which automatically opens in Excel), some of the characters come across as "?" and other things.  Is there an easy solution to this?

Any guidance much appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

You have to pay attention to the character encoding.  Windows will tend to save files as ASCII, but you want to use utf-8 (or another encoding that supports Asian languages).  There should be a pull-down on the save file dialog to let you choose.

Hi Steve, you can open the saved CSV file by using Notepad to display the Chinese characters.
