I came across with the food lesson and I'm really really suprised that Ken and Jenny don't have any idea what chopsuey is.

Well, it's a simple vegetable dish with carrots, cauliflowers, baby corns, garbanzos beans, sayote and a bit of meat, stir fried. It's the most most common Chinese dish here in the Philippines. The chinese migrants from Fujian province long long time ago must have introduce this dish here. And oh, there's even a movie about it (http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Chopsuey_-_Movie) :)

Looks yummy, but we really don't have this in China. I wonder what the Chinese characters are for the dish.

Woah, Jenny. Nice meeting you. :)

Here's the 汉字 for Chopsuey:

pinyin suì

literally "assorted pieces"

Here's additional info:
Chopsuey has become a prominent part of American Chinese cuisineFilipino cuisineCanadian Chinese cuisineIndian Chinese cuisine, and Polynesian cuisine. In Indonesian Chinesecuisine it is known as Cap cai (雜菜, "mixed vegetables") and mainly consists of vegetables. I guess this dish is not really familiar there in mainland China/
