Long term effects practice writing on iPad with stylus

Can anyone think of any downsides to practicing writing on an iPad with a capacitive stylus to supplement real writing practice with pen/pencil and paper?

The reaction time/lag is a little annoying, but I find using a stylus rather than a finger to be a little closer to real writing.
