Starting January 1st, we are introducing a new feedback feature on our website, and would love to have all of our poddies come test this out! For the month of January, all newly published academic lessons will have a new tab on the lesson page, labeled “task”.

What is the “Task” feature?

  • The task tab allows Premium users to upload a Word, MP3, or MP4 assignment based on the instructions given.
  • Once uploaded, this assignment will be reviewed by our ChinesePod teachers, who will then give corrections and feedback to the user.
  • Users also have the ability to “share” their work with other users for peer review.

During the testing phase of this feature, free feedback will be given to Premium users during the month of January. We are eager for you to try out this new exciting learning tool and we hope that the new "Task" tab can improve your poddie experience!

RJ,

Thanks again for leaking this secret information to us ;)

Yes, I went back an checked and this was indeed near the bottom of the Chinese Pod newsletter, which I failed to read.  What a clever idea to post this on the discussion board. (hint, hint)

Kidding aside, I am quite interested in this new feature.

Is the newsletter posted anywhere on the website? I prefer not to have it delivered to my email address, so I keep missing out on cool info like this...

Guolan, re: "Is the newsletter posted anywhere on the website?" not that I can tell. Hence my joke about secret information being leaked. I think CPod should be paying RJ for the value added. Between the changes to iTunes and changes to CPod I think many poddies are in a state of confusion, just as I am. There used to be a "News and Features" podcast that was presented in lesson format with accompanying commentary on the website, but I think they have largely dropped that.

I see. Thanks.

It definitely sounds like an interesting feature. I'm looking forward to getting to experiment with it for a month!
