I think I have mentioned dragonradio.hk some time ago and posted a link, too. Dragonradio has some very interesting (alternative) Asian music from China, Japan, Thailand, Hongkong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore etc. For one of the next podcasts even some rock/ alternative music from North Korea has been announced.

This time I was particularly entranced by some rock music from pre-Khmer-Rouge Cambodia, i.e. the late 1960's and early 1970's. There is a website where a whole compilation of this music, aptly named "Cambodian Rock", is available: http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2007/12/cambodian-rocks.html.

I am interested in finding music that is a combination of Chinese and Western styles, specifically Chinese and American/European folk and/or country western. I know it might seem strange, at first glance, but really... it's a good combo! :) I have a bunch of mp3s of the combination, and they're really neat!
