different elements of our identities

When I look up "identity" in the dictionary, I get 身份, and I know this is used for example when talking about ID cards.

观点 is defined as "point of view", which is more narrow, and this is also how I understand the word is used.

What about 性格? Can I say, 政治上,他的性格保守 - as in, "politically, he is a conservative person", maybe to be followed by something like "whereas, as a parent, he's extremely liberal"?

身份 is 'identity'. It's more like class, title.

性格 is mostly used as 'personality'. 他性格很活泼。ta1 xing4ge2 hen3 huo2po1.
