I just came across this YouTuber this morning:

 http://www.youtube.com/user/sexybeijingTV

She is an expat in Beijing, China and goes around interviewing folks on a variety of subjects that could be of interest to ChinesePodders.  I can't vouch for her Chinese being wonderful, but it's certainly not bad, and you do get to hear the replies of the local Beijingren so it can make good listening practice.  Plus lots of content in English and it's subtitled as well so good for any level learner.

Actually, watching another video I see her Chinese is pretty good. I think this is a pretty useful series.

Yeah, I saw this lady's shows, kind of weird if you ask me, but hey, I'll give her credit for being creative. I don't know why, but the video I watched sometime in December or so, it seemed like as she interviews Chinese that she kind of looks down on them, in a modest way, but still, here reaction to what they know and believe is somewhat odd and I can't put my figure out it Or maybe I'm just the odd one. ;)

Superb audio quality... Excellent source for natural spoken Chinese. Who's going to do the transcipts? I'd buy them...

ugh. I'm with you, rich. I didn't like that one about chinese people's "english names" at all. This one wasn't bad. I wonder if she has anything else to do with her time :) lol.

Um... has no one every seen "Sex in the City"? Danwei TV or whatever is spoofing the framework of that show - i.e. "Carrie" (the main character) musing to herself in a voice-over about some usually shallow & inane topic (I do not mean offense, but I suspect most of us do not live lives of shopping, salons, and eating out/in *ahem* as do the four ladies from "Sex in the City" - therefore our daily concerns are, perhaps, different). I think that Sexy Beijing is much better anyway! The names episode was brilliant. I adored Smacker and the dachshund!! Hehe! Btw, you should check out the Danwei TV interviews. They are quite diverse and informative. Both "shows" are brilliant resources for Mandarin learners such as me. 88!
