Who had lunch with Eileen?

Oh, I did!

... over the holiday break, when I was in Manila.  Click here if the photo doesn't work right.   You'd think I would know how to display a photo....

We met for lunch at the Trinoma Mall in Manila, and had lunch on the rooftop.  We ordered pork sisig, lechon kawali, and some kind of kangkong.  Masarap!

Anyway, she says hello to everyone!  She's doing great!

frank, html works in the replies, but you have to use the editor for original posts. It was the editor that wasn't cooperating. I want to shout out to another Eileen, Eileen Wong, who I wasn't able to connect with while I was in Manila. It was mostly due to vacation-induced lack of planning, but I admit that there was a short period of time when I thought there was just one Eileen texting me, not two!

You know, the more I see and hear of JP here on CPod the more I want to go to SpanishPod and hang out there. He's one cool guy! Only problem is the day only has 24 hours...

I had the great pleasure of sitting in on a recording session of a Newbie lesson with JP and Lilliana for SpanishPod. It was a blast. Definitely check them out!

Bazza, JP, I've tried the non-sleeping thing and it's not an option. Trust me, you wouldn't want that to happen. :-) My bf and I are probably going to start using SpanishPod regularly soon as something we can do together. He's struggling to learn Danish so he's not really into Chinese right now and I need something where I'm not the teacher. It'll be fun to do something where we're both learners and he's convinced that since he's Italian, Spanish is going to be a walk in the park for him. :-) If he actually does learn it easily I think it'll be a great motivation to keep going with the other languages. (He's also trying to improve his English.) I've always said I want to learn all the romance languages so know that SpanishPod is around I really don't have any excuses to not get started.

Lunetta, when I read your first post, I felt like you stole my words, word for word...and time/sleep is a problem here too. Then when I saw your second post, I thought Ahh its the boyfriend who is taking up the time, but you turned it around, boyfriend+learning on SpanishPod...all at the same time. You can have your cake and eat it too. Good reasoning...I'm hoping it is all good for you. JP I read a post by Ken that talked about establishing the pull of learning...You know you are doing a great job when people are talking about losing sleep so they can get that extra bit of learning in...knowing all the while that they will be having a great time doing it. Thanks for being who you are.

Next time I'm in Shanghai, which is most likely this year, I am also going to meet this Eileen no matter what it takes.. ha ha. Last year I visited during the May holiday, so she wasn't available, but in reply an email to inform ChinesePod I was visiting, I at least got a "I would love to see you, [but....]" from her.... better than nothing. ;) August/September I'm going to finally see the in-and-outs of ChinesePod if it kills me... dying to see the place and all the staff.

aw, shucks, lunetta, are you going to let a little thing like sleep get in the way of what we have? /resume pied piping You know, if your sign up for a year of SpanishPod at the Premium level during the month of February, you can get a DVD of our SpanishPod lessons! Imagine how much time you'll save by not having to download individual lessons! Go to SpanishPod.com/DVD for more details! (don't worry, Clay, I'm promoting ChinesePod over at the SpanishPod site too).
