Hi all,

Does anyone else have a problem with characters not being displayed properly in the Pinyin translations?  I have setup my machine as to the recommended setup in the help section on Chinesepod.

An example of what I mean being this from the Vegetarian Eating lesson:

ta1 you3 shen2me5 dong1xi5 chi1 bu4 ma5 ?

I've noticed it does the same thing on my iPod too.

Any idea's?

Unfortunately this isn't an error - many people (including some of the ChinesePod exercises) use numbered pinyin rather than the proper pinyin (so ni3hao3 instead of nǐhǎo, for example), mainly because they can't be bothered or don't know how to do proper pinyin. It's one of those things that's annoying at first, but it's OK after a while - you get used to it. By the way, good luck on the great wall trek!
