Watchlist and Conversations...Please Help!

March 30, 2008, 02:02 AM posted in General DiscussionI am new to chinesepod, and I am still exploring and learning how to fully use its full capacity. Anyway, I would like to ask how I can add people to my watchlist, as well as subscribe to conversations.
I have tried clicking the icons of watchlist and subscribing to conversations, but it seems not to work.

March 30, 2008, 02:14 AMTintin Mabuhay! Double click on the name in the conversaion. Next to the "avatar" or picture, you will see a "+" sign next to the pharse "Add to Watch List" Click on the "+" sign. The name will be added to your watch list. Best regards, bIllm

My first thought was that your name had something to do with the cartoon Tintin by Hergé (above), but it looks like it is just some transliteration of your family name.

It's actually my fookien (chinese dialect) name. I grew up in a chinese school, and my classmates and teachers use fookien more than mandarin so they call me tintin more than Zhen1 Zhen. By the way, my mandarin name is Li3 Zhen1 Zhen1. Thanks again...God bless!

I'm not terribly sure about this, but I think that "Watchlist" and "Subscribe to Conversation" selections actually work as a kind of filter for your display options. When you go into your main Conversations page, there should be a little window ("Show") for you to select these display options. The default is "All Conversations". But you can use it to select -- say -- "Watchlist conversations" etc. Hope this helps!
