Was it for this the clay grew tall?
--O what made fatuous sunbeams toil
To break earth's sleep at all?

Wilfred Owen (18 March 1893 – 4 November 1918)

Killed in action just one week before peace was declared. The greatest war poet? Is he known in China?

Sebire, stupid silly is always good!  And no worries about not attributing the photo, I just thought it might be yours;)

Yes, after almost a year and a half of planning, I have finally moved to Taipei.  It's taken a couple weeks to find an apartment and settle in, and I'm loving everything about it so far.

I will say this...it has been an extremely humbling experience from a language standpoint.  Doing things like finding an apartment, getting on the right bus and paying, going to the hospital (residency related), checking into hotels, etc., has kicked my Chinese-language-learning arse!!!

I have a lot of gratitude to give to CPod and all of the community - I've gone back to many lessons to aide my Chinese in the past 2 weeks.  My face is continually red here with the many mistakes I make.  But without CPod, I'd be completely clueless.  A thousand thanks to everyone!  I've missed my daily dose of CPod.

Any Taiwan poddies want to start a meetup?  Shilin night market perhaps?
