"A man ungoes medicated fire treatment at a local traditional hospital in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China. The treatment is popular during winter months and is believed to assist in the prevention of ailments such as the common cold or flu."

I can't seem to find any info about it except what was on the caption (hence no vocab, sorry! Thought 火 was a bit too easy.) Was hoping someone knowledgeable would come to the rescue :)

Hi sebire,

This thraditional therapy is called "火疗" (huo3 liao2). Do you dare to do it?

Interesting stuff.Fire therapy.[I've also just realised from that character 火,that the literal meaning of train must be fire car...presumably from the old days when trains were run on steam produced from a fire. Also the same character found as a radical in mafan...and this therapy looks a little mafan]

I think I'd prefer an 按摩 which would be more relaxing. It seems a bit drastic for a common cold. But if I was looking for excitement or something different, then it could be a different experience to have.So why not?
