Hi All,

I have the hgonour of being asked to attend the birth of a chinese woman in the UK. She can speak English fluently but during labour we tend to revert back to our mother tongue.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips (with pronunciation guide!)

To words/phrases of comfort and reassurance that I could use during the labour and birth?

Also any etiqueet that I should observe with her and her husband and her chinese speaking mother.

Are there any birth customs I should observe?

Thanks,

Selina

There is a lesson from Serge Melnik with could be a little bit useful. http://www.melnyks.com/lesson-fifty-eight-pregnancy-and-birth/
