typing chinese characters?

February 14, 2009, 05:21 AM posted in General DiscussionHi, I would like to be able write chinese characters on the computer (pc). I gather there is software where you type the chinese word in pinyin and then choose from a list of characters.
Can anyone tell me which program I can use for this? Freeware if possible?
I have been cutting and pasting character from chinesepod and various wordlist/dictionary programs I have but it's a bit tedious!

February 14, 2009, 08:08 AMHey I worked it out myself, you can do it with windows language settings! takes a bit of getting used to but seems to work.
