Just Curious: Subway announcements?

Howdy everyone, I was just curious...

When I was in Shanghai, I was lucky enough to ride the Metro (they don't have public transport where I'm from) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the automated announcement said.  And if other subways in China have similar automated announcements.

Does cPod have a lessons about taking the subway?  谢谢

I'm new here too. They tell you to spread out on the platform. I can't remember what else though. They must have a lesson here.

Is it just me or is the site realy hard to use?

Hi Koolaid

You can also watch a really fun video 'vocabulary tour' podcast all about the Shanghai metro here.

Similar announcements are found on buses and also the Shanghai maglev train. Did you get a chance to try them out too?

Hi Davidkaneda

Choosing lessons from your current academic level is a good way to work through the lesson archive.

Bear in mind, you can study them in any order you like (each lesson is self-contained) or choose a lesson set to work through.

I hope that helps - but do contact us if you need anything more!

The announcements on Taipei's MRT (捷运, rapid transit) are in Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka, and English...great way to learn a few languages on your way to work.

The public transportation in Taipei is so fast, efficient, and clean.  And 那么便宜。 I love it.
