Non-English speakers have been dealing with this for a long time.

"GOLDMAN Sachs, the world's most profitable investment bank, could not name the co-head of its investment banking business in Asia as chief executive officer (CEO) of its Beijing joint venture because his knowledge of Chinese was too weak, three bankers at the company said. "

Just another reason we all need to learn a little more Chinese.

I know, my buddies were all forwarding me this link, it's pretty crazy... Im actually planning on taking down the HSK level 11, my speaking and reading comprehension is about there, but my listening, grammar, and writing is not. I work in finance in Japan, and hopefully will move to China in a few years, so by then I want to have HSK on my resume so I can get a fat expat package with a foreign bank in China and live like a king. I imagine having passed HSK's top level will help me in getting an interview...anyone out there using Chinese professionally to get a better job in finance or any other industry??? really am curious, PM me please! Thanks

I think if you write the CV in hanzi and mention the gu piao you made bucco bucks on, that will get you the interview. Forget the HSK!~ ;p
