Internet access is currently disrupted for Wantong customers in China, ChinesePod included. This is due to a recent earthquake in the Taiwan area, which reportedly damaged the undersea fibre-optics cables that run between Asia and US. As a result, some of the ChinesePod customer management systems have been negatively impacted. If you are experiencing any difficulties with your accounts, please contact our support team on support@praxislanguage.com and we will try to help you as best we can. Customers who may be affected include: -New Guided subcribers - we are temporarily unable to process your account to set-up your program and assign your teacher to you. -New Premium (12-month) subscribers - your upgrade to Guided, as part of the August promotion, temporarily cannot be processed. Please accept our sincere apologies for any delays or inconvenience you may experience during this period. We will ensure that the issues are dealt with at our earliest opportunity, and that you are compensated accordingly. Regards, The ChinesePod Team

So Matt,

You say the problem is an earthquake - Jenny says elsewhere it is a typhoon. I haven't watched any news in the last few days. Are you guys facing Armageddon?

I personally believe the cable damage is because of an earthquake. I can't see how a Typhoon could effect cables that far under water. Anyway there was a Typhoon AND an earthquake. The end is Nigh! NOT
