You can vote for ChinesePod in the 2007 Podcast Awards right here. If you think we're deserving then this is one way to do it. You can viote once per day. I think it'd be really nice to win this thing. Your help would be appreciated!

Voted. Now I've gotta set up one of those recurring things in Google Calendars to tell me to vote again tomorrow.

Ken Up against beer in the educational division. How much of the non-sober voting block do you estimate you get ? Mike in Singapore

The non-sober voters will probably click on the wrong radio button anyway and vote for ChinesePod as accident. ;)

Thx, Mark. I appreciate that. It struck me that if you made a quick note here whenever you'd voted it would keep the thread on the top of the Conversations pile, thereby encouraging others to do so. I believe the thing will conclude in 15 days.

+1 from me for the PodCastAwards. Are there any lessons with tongue twisters in? I found a website a while ago with some on, there was one about ten stone lions being dead or something. I'd had real problems trying to enunciate a new phrase to my chinese language partner. (I've duly forgotten what it was now but it had one of the xi, si, shi, or qi, sounds in it and I clearly couldn't get my teeth into it). As a punishment for laughing at me I thought I'd get him back by making him read tongue twisters... It never happend in the end, but it made my think of my sisters elocution lessons, perhaps reciting tongue twisters along with Cpod dialogues might exercise those muscles we non-native speakers don't have. At least you might have fun imagining all the poddies spluttering impossible phrases while listening. 麦克

Voted again today. Bazza! Quit making fun of how Floridia couldn't handle punching the right hole in the ballot during our last Presidential election.... oh wait, maybe you weren't. Sorry. I'm just sensative. ha ha.

Wait wait wait, before we vote any more, I think ChinesePod needs to write a 200 or less (or more) word essay on what they will do with a laptop desk, which is the prize for best Education podcast. :) Ken?

Ken, that idea is pure gold. I love experimental shows. To make it more concrete: Take a native speaker and a foreigner (e.g. John or Dave), give them a short dialogue. Best served with a tongue twister. Let them drink half a liter beer each. Repeat. Afterwards analyze the effects on: - grammar - tones - overall sillyness By the way: Voted again.
