Hi, I'm Maureen, and I just subscribed to Chinese Pod after lurking for quite a while. Don't know where to put a post introducing myself, so I'll just put it here.

As my Bio on my Profile states, I've just started an elementary Mandarin class but I've been learning on my own for a year or so. Just not learning very much! I really enjoy the podcasts, and I can't wait until I can understand the Advanced lessons!

Hi Maureen and welcome! Just comment or start a thread whenever you feel like it. We're all here to learn and having other people to talk with about what we're learning, is what makes this place extra special.

Hi Maureen. We might be neighbors. (I am in Colorado too:) Please feel free to message me. I would be very happy to offer any type of assistant in your quest to learn Mandarin, to have resources for a bi-lingual home, and to know resources here in Colorado etc... Cpod is awesome!

Hi maureen, sounds like you have an exciting long-term motivation to pursue this quest. Welcome on board! For me the community is indeed one of the highlights of CPod. It is really exciting how you find users from all imaginable nationalities, age groups, professions, and personal backgrounds here and how this provides a rich backdrop and a constant push for learning Mandarin.
