Ms Grace  你好,

我跟你说话我开心。

I would like to ask about the phrase "deng deng" because i read one dialog using dengdeng as "wait" but it can also be used to denote "etc, and so on..."

How do we use it?

谢谢你。

Marlon

你好 Marlon,

跟你说话我也很开心:)

你说得对(You're right),“等等”can be "to wait a minute", also means "and so on;etc."

Here are some examples:

他 下班后才有时间见你,你再等等吧。(Tā xiàbān hòu cáiyǒu shíjiān jiàn nǐ, nǐ zài děngděng ba.)
He'll have time to see you only when he finishs work, so please continue waiting.
他喜欢跑步、打篮球等等。(Tā xǐhuan pǎobù、dǎ lánqiú děngděng.)
He likes jogging, playing basketball, etc.

Hope it helps!

Grace
