March 30, 2008 at 5:30 AM有一次在易趣买东西，我赢了一个拍卖 （is 赢 the right verb here?). 拍卖者 （auctioner?) 的信用度非常好，可是我收不到了产品。在易趣买到什么东西以后有个时限可以对易趣抱怨，告诉他们有说谎者， 可是这个人住在另外一个国家，所以我等了好多时间为了收到我的东西。发现这个人说谎的时候，已经超过时间。 没办法。 But that is only one bad experience to about 18 good ones, and I only lost $20. Still, it has colored my opinion of online auctions.

I suppose drama is great and all but... uh.. anyway, these dating lessons arouse a fairly interesting question; what exactly works in China when it comes to pick-up lines? I mean, I have never really thought that a pick-up line would actually work here in the states, and I was under the impression that things were a bit more conservative in China when it comes to relationships. In contrast to the fellow in the dialogue's first attempt, wouldn't something more honest and sincere be more attractive to a woman in modern China? Or do pick up lines work at all? Personally, I like the recent qingwen's "我一看见你， 我的新就会碰碰跳“---- seems pretty cute to me, but again, does any of that have any good success rate in china? btw, does anyone know which mix of Dragostea din tei is playing? I know its not the standard (*hit single) one because the synth is playing a higher octave. I really like this mix though

Kind of reminds me of how 什么 can be used with 吗，but it changes the meaning. I think the sentence 你想喝咖啡或者茶吗 may be correct, and it may touch upon that whole inclusive exclusive issue, like "do you want coffee or tee perhaps?" as opposed to "which do you want, coffee or tea?". Chinese just wouldn't be Chinese without a consistently vague set of rules, huh?
