Henning, I agree with you on all the cold and flue stuff. Where I live we also drink hot milk with honey (and butter or garlic - garlic is basically good for everything. And add lemon to everything: lots of vitamin C :)). Raspberry or blacberry tea is also good - makes you warm. My friend moved out to Italy to live with her boyfriend. He caught a cold once, so she gave him lots of garlic, honey and raspberry jam (not all in one, mind you :) and told him to lie down. Still, he was determined to go and see a doctor, and maybe have some pills or something prescribed. My friend told the doctor about those 'folk remedies', and the doctor was like: 'wow, that's right! How did you know it? Where did you learn it?' And my friend told her: 'well, that's a very common thing in my country'. 'Oh right, you people are closer to nature there'. The funny thing is, my friend (and myself) are from Poland - barely two hours' flight north-east. Not that big a difference, is it? :) (but then I've also heard about there being polar bears in Poland, and about Poland being somewhere on the Pacific....).

hmmm, strange, cupping seems to have been quite popular here for some time now (here = Central-Eastern Europe). I remember some 10-12 years ago my sister had a treatment like that.... maybe it's because we used to be a part of the Soviet Union and had close relation with PRC? :) But strangely enough, we didn't 'import' acupuncture back then, it's still relatively new. (btw: Amber, great show!)

Weee! I got that one no problem! The sound effects really did give me a clue. and then of course the "I've been waiting..." :D Hmmm, John, if we're to choose, can you give us "the lord of the rings"? I'd be happy to "guess" that one ;) (although the "my preciussss" MUST be wasted on the Chinese, it would probably go something like "wo de bbbbao bei" - kind like stammering...)

I must say something about this chopsticks-sticking thing! Today a couple of Chinese has invited me out for a meal. At one moment I lifted my head and saw that the guy has... violated the taboo! :D (Good heaven!;) So I asked him how come. And he said the Chinese are not so superstitious nowadays and it's no big thing. But then maybe it's because he's spent a lot of time abroad...

hmmmm... this series is starting to change into a full-blown soap opera! We already have the evil pseudo-friends, and now comes prince charming... or is it the evil seductor? This man is up to something! :)
