April 7, 2008 at 6:00 AMThanks Jenny for your answer From my experience living in the south of China I have noticed many people participate in this festival as an act of worship, that is why they burn incense and eat the meals on the tombs. But other just go to remember the dead relatives. I myself have nothing against going to a tomb and remembering a loved one, because we all have done this and it is nice to reflect on the good times you have had with someone. But my question was more related to the burning of incense and eating food over the grave which I thought Chinese Christians might have a hard time explaining to their families they were unable to participate in. Maybe it is a little different here in Hong Kong because here the majority of people are Buddhist or Taoist. Thanks again for your reply! :)

April 7, 2008 at 1:35 AMHey Jenny and team I have a cultural related question. On the sao3mu4 festival, how do Christian Chinese handle this time of the year? Because there are millions of Christians in China today and Christians like myself worship the LIVING God who resurrected and worship of the dead or of humans is against the creator Gods law. Have you found that there is a cultural clash and how would you go about bridging the gap without worshiping another God apart from the living God? Thanks for the lessons, it will be really handy to learn for next year!

March 26, 2008 at 3:44 AMHey guys, loved the lesson and I wet my pants laughing at the way the guy in this podcast says "Hao3" ! He has the prolonged, stuttered hao going on and I just love that! Keep up the good work !

October 6, 2007 at 8:20 PM很奇怪!
